Who am I?
Who am I? I am Nadeb Bajscoun. I was born in Algeria in 1813. I was drafted into World War II as a poet, but I bailed out. In my white winter parachute, I sailed the skies. I came to rest in a pique. The pique lasted forever and a day, but time wound up its operations at long last, and drifted eastward. And I was forlorn. Now I am a ghost. Light-hearted as only a ghost can be, I sing, without a soul. The silence into which all other silences flow, that is I, and a noise that awakens the world, that is I, again. Again. Circumspection... A soul.
